Licensed asbestos removal was completed within the main school boiler house, comprising removal and disposal of asbestos insulating board ceiling panels and an asbestos cement flue pipe. Works were programmed during the school holidays to eliminate exposure to pupils and minimise disruption to teaching activities. Controls included enclosure, negative pressure, controlled access and effective supervision by competent personnel.
