Controlled licensed asbestos works were completed at Retford Rail Station to remove asbestos insulating board debris from the live relay area and boiler room. Months of planning with stakeholders produced a method that protected operational equipment and kept maintenance access available throughout. Works were delivered under robust enclosure, negative pressure and strict permit controls, supported by continuous monitoring and clear shift handovers. Supervisors coordinated interfaces to avoid disruption, maintaining safe routes and communication at all times.
