Innov8 UK Group Limited successfully completed licensed asbestos removal works within the Generator Room at Newark Station. The project involved the controlled removal of approximately 36 m² of Asbestos Insulating Board within a purpose-built enclosure maintained under continuous negative pressure. All associated plant and equipment were securely studded, sheeted and sealed using fire-retardant polythene with breathable filtration, enabling safe ongoing operation
Given the room’s critical role to live rail operations, continuity was maintained through controlled access for asbestos-trained Network Rail personnel under direct supervision, with out-of-hours emergency access provided when required. The works were completed safely, efficiently and without disruption.
